How To Make A Real Tuna Salad Sandwich

You asked for it, now you’ve got it! That’s a lie, no one asked for it. But in anticipation of the big rush to get this recipe, I’m doing myself a favor by posting it in advance. If you don’t make it just like I do, don’t waste your time. But… now that I’m thinking, what if someone has a recipe that I like better? I can’t purloin what I don’t have in my hand, huh?

Here it is:

CoffeeHouseBlogger’s Real Tuna Salad

Double or triple or exponentially multiply this for parties of 3 to 2500.

1 can Trader Joe’s Albacore Solid White Tuna in water – no salt added.

1 teaspoon Trader Joe’s Dijon Mustard. (Tart!)

1 tablespoon of Vlasic Squeezable Homestyle Relish. (more fun)

2 or 3 or even more! tablespoons of Kraft Miracle Whip Light. (A Midwest standard)

2 tablespoons chopped onion. OR for those of you who don’t like biting into onion (and you know who you are!), try dicing up a half of cucumber. Nice and light and fresh!

1 teaspoon Gourmet Garden Squeezable Ginger Paste spice blend. (Mmmmm)

Mix it together and slap it heavily on your favorite bread OR if you want to watch carbs, dip it up with Trader Joe’s Woven Wheat Wafers. (same thing as Triskets, but only $1.99 instead of $3 something!)

Voila! C’est tout!

Now that’s Tuna Salad!

PS: We all love shopping at Trader Joe’s here in California. Cheap, great, private-branded food. Plus it’s a fun place. If you only have a Ralphs or a Piggly Wiggly or a Whole Foods, you’re out of luck. Maybe I can go grocery shopping for you and have it shipped?
